Wilt, TeeTee, you beat me to the post.... very well and honestly stated.

Tareq, you are truly fortunate and I am happy for you. You live in an area of incredible wealth that boggles the rest of us. And from your previous posts, it's quite obvious that many things you were given at a young age have taken most of us decades to purchase, or at least mortgage ourselves for. And that's fine. But either you don't get it, or you simply don't care, but your incessant brandishing of all your high end expensive gear is just constantly flaunting it in everybody's face.

Perhaps I am ignorant of your cultural habits - maybe this is how your friends and neighbors behave. But here such behavior is considered at least clueless, or at worst rude and insensitive, when the same thing keeps being repeated. Sorry for the rant Tareq, but you really don't listen to the people here.

It was a while back that I was getting a lot of flack about the cost my Ds3 and my inability to use it.

I related a story about my youth and attitudes about "old men" owning Corvettes and that they wouldn't/couldn't drive them to their potential.
Went on to say that my new Ds3 is "my Corvette" and learning to use it gives me a great deal of pleasure.

Having said that, Tareq does seem to lack a bit of cultural awareness concerning the haves/have nots of the world.

The things you do for yourself die with you, the things you do for others live forever.

Not only that, but as long as you have surplus cash you can spend less than $2K on one of the top notch Minolta or Nikon MF scanners and scan all the film negatives you want.

Hasselblads are wonderful machines - I used their analog bodies for a number of years. As good as the new digital cousins are you'd be paying a ton of money for something less versatile and flexible in some ways than our current crop of dSLR's. Not slamming the 'blads - just that machines like you describe have somewhat narrow niche uses as opposed to others on the market. And if you go the digital 'blad route, make sure you have plenty of large supplemental hard drives ;)

As staunch supporters of the 6x6 format, Hasselblad must have been absolutely mortified at having to pitch digital backs not even the size of the 'toy cameras' (645 format)! Even now it is not fully the size of 645 frame (43 x 55 mm), at 36 x 48 mm for the H3D-II

Well Tareq, you may want to try EBay or Keh.com. What happened that you want to sell it - I thought you loved that camera?

Ah ok, i will try them.

To be honest, i want to sell it..... because.....

I want to upgrade to 50mp, by this way i can get 60mp upgraded from 50mp, no way to upgrade from 39mp to 60mp unless i sell 39mp and buy 60mp which will be much much more expensive for me than upgrading from 50mp.

I could not justifiably pay $2600 for a 5DII, but I think I would convince my wife to let me buy a $2000 Hasselblad H3D

As I recall, that camera cost you about $18k, so in two years the used market will value it at $9k, in four years $4500, in 8 years $2700. Send me a private email in 8 years, and I will offer $2k again.

Would it matter if I offered to cover the shipping cost, too, for an immediate purchase? That makes it a better deal that sapearl's measly $5 increment!
