So when the D90 came out some of the first video's where of the awful rolling shutter effect. With the 5D, the only thing people have complained about is the dark pixels (I think its just a over processing thing, but wouldn't complain).

I want to see some faster panning of horizontal, vertical and diagonal movements. Can someone with a 5DMII post a youtube/vimeo video of this for us to see? Seems everyone is tripod mounted with no movement.

Vincent Laforet has posted new clips of some work he has been doing. It shows them taking footage while running with the camera.

Also, Canon had released footage of the camera mounted to the handle bars as well as the side of a bicycle. The video showed a stunt rider doing flips and taking ramps, etc... at a pretty fast pace. Then there was a second video of the guy riding around town at night with the camera mounted on the bike again. Very cool.

So far there really hasn't been any issues with movement. Not from any clips i've seen at least that have plenty of movement.

The footage is spectacular. I think we will be seeing some amazing surf footage from this camera soon. I can't image what surf photographer / videographer wouldn't jump on the change to shoot video with a fisheye of this quality in such a small package!

Are you kidding me? Go check Vimeo. Some guys mounted the 5D2 on the handlebars of their bikes and road around in the dark... it was posted like a month ago.

Ouch!

I'm talking about specific examples of panning. I'll look for more stuff on Vimeo.

Panning is not an issue. I have whip-panned the 5D2 in all directions and it handles the readout beautifully. It probably is possible to create jello by really going crazy with it, but you would have to go out of your way to try to get that effect.

Don't worry... this camera is a champ!

How crazy will someone go in filming?!?!?! I mean, being mounted to a stunt bike doing flips seems pretty far out in terms of shots to me. We have also seen shots of the camera mounted to a car at normal road-going speeds. Also seen in from helicopters. This is movement. What form of movement is left to display that isn't related in some way?

Thanks guys, just $400 more to save for the MII. Maybe by Feb or March I will have one. Unless Nikon D800 comes out with video. Ha!

Consider the use of the 5D Mark II is a motion picture camera.
