I saw another post on here that showed how to take apart the 530 ex flash. I have followed that but does not look the same on the inside of the flash. I have ordered teh flash and canon sent me just the flash bulb. I have removed every screw (while stirpping some) and taken the canon apart.

The problem i am having is i can't figure out how to take the swivel part apart (the part where the capacitor and actuall flash is. I need to unplug one of the wires apart and it feeds through that and goes to the flash body. I also can't get apart the actuall body (where the computer and lcd part are. I have removed all the screws i think, that i can see, and it won't come apart. I need to unplug a wire. I think i have destroyed my flash but i can put it back to gether.

Anybody have any diagrams or exact directions on how to dissesemble a 430 ex. maybe and exploded diagram????????

Where the flash swivels there should be a rubber type ring, your screws are under that

yeah i took those out. it still won't come apart. it seems like it is caught on the side. there is a little cover that comes off onthe side right near the hot shoe. when i took that off there is a little piece of metal with a whole. llike you could mount something on it. it seems like it caught on that piece of metal
