A few from the Wylie(TX) 23-7 win over Cooperas Cove (TX).

Most are at 6400 ISO. Waco stadium was not as bright as I had hoped for.

Looking forward to the 2:00 championship start next week in Houston at Reliant Stadium.

Show off! Blows my 3200 away. Very good Matt I'm sure the guy behind the camera may of had a thing or two to do with the outcome as well.

Show off! Blows my 3200 away. Very good Matt I'm sure the guy behind the camera may of had a thing or two to do with the outcome as well.

Considering the condition of the situation, these are fantastic.

I don't think I've ever had the need to push my Mark III to 6400 (thankfully) but use 3200 on a VERY regular basis. (College basketball)

I'm impressed. :)

I'm guessing the photos were run through the obligatory Noise Ninja with a little tweaking in Photoshop?

Good set!

Very clean imagaes. I regularly go to ISO3200 for hockey. Nice to see that the camera is capable of sharp low noise images at ISO6400. Were these shot RAW? To what degree did you apply noise reduction in post-processing?

well done Matt. The MkII would have been 1/3-2/3 less at 3200 just to keep 1/500. Dan's right though (did I just admit that?) the gear made it possible, the shooter made it happen.

Matt, Nice captures but I have to go out on the limb as I'm not really impressed with the Mark 3's 6400 ISO quality
For me 3200 is the max I would push that camera.

I agree 3200 is the max for high quality images. But for the purpose of these images (small town newspaper) I chose increased shutter (640-800) over image quality.

I found it intersting that the major paper( Dallas News) did not print any "action" images from the game, only celebration images after the game. My guess is they were not impressed either, although their photographer is very talented!
