I'm looking for a photo printer with a budget of around £100 - any other features would be a plus but not crucial (scanner etc). Won't need bigger than A4. Cost of running is fairly important.
I've trawled through older threads and got a few ideas (eg Pixma iP4600 or Pixma MP630) but would welcome more up to date thoughts.
Thanks.

Hedley,

If cost of running is that important to you, then home printing is probably not your best choice. While any true "Photo" printer from the big three (HP, Canon or Epson) will give excellent prints, they are never going to be cheap to run.

Cartidges for my Epson R2880 contain 11.4 millilitres of ink and cost £9 each, there are 8 of them! Thats before you think about paper. The financial balance comes down overwelmingly in favour of the High Street labs.

Where a good Photo printer scores is in the quality of the image and the personal control you have over your images. Thats important to me and its why I print all my own work.
