I see how you are. That's a pretty good price for a 40D. I stared at for about an hour last night before I chicken out.

Also most B&H orders, for instance, first hit UPS in NJ. The scale of things is different here in Eastern Oregon.

it's also not for me, it's for my friend. I'd hate to point him to a forum to buy something only to have it be a disaster. that's why I'm trying to find something from a "known" entity. :p

Evening....just came home from watching a movie. Valkyrie with Tom Cruise. It was a good movie...my wife said it was slow, but I liked the timing of the movie. She just did not know the history of it.

I know the history behind the movie, but I don't know if I'd be able to get past Tom Cruise. I just don't think he's that good an actor.

it's true...it's making me crazy...seems to be running on schedule on the west coast and bottlenecked in the east.

My camera was found again (after being sent to the wrong place and is now rescheduled again). IF it gets here on the day it is currently scheduled, it will be 13 days for a 3 day shipping.

Sounds like someone is due a refund on their shipping... My package is in Sacramento, which is where is probably will stay until Friday. It's scheduled for delivery on Monday.

He was 16 years old, blind, no longer able to walk or control his bladder/bowels, etc. He was just an old man in very bad shape. I put it off as long as I could, and to tell the truth, probably a little too long. That was probably the most difficult decision I ever made in my whole life.

Son Adam had issues with certain letters. His 'K' became 'T'.
Adam was about 3, Cory not quite 1. My friend Kim was sitting for me (I was at work, so wish I could have heard/seen it firsthand!)
Cory is in his playpen, our two kittens jumped in to see him. Cory (being a baby) picked up one of the kittens by the neck.
Adam hysterical, 'Aunt Timmi Aunt Timmi, Tory's dot da Titties'

We get tears everytime we tell that story. And yes, the titty was rescued, lol.

That is a funny story...
Josh was just the opposite. All his 'K's and hard 'C's became 'T's. That's why Tevin name is Tevin. When I was pregnant with him, we were discussing names, and I wanted Kevin. Wade didn't. So I thought I'd use little kid cuteness to convince him, and told Joshua to go tell Daddy that the baby's name was going to be Kevin.
Josh said "Daddy, we're naming the baby Tevin". Wade said, Ok. And it stuck.

I was a sign language interpreter in a kindergarten for children with developmental delays when I was fresh out of college. I had been hired and worked over the summer in the preschool with 3 children who were deaf who would be entering this classroom. Another little boy in their class also moved up into this special K classroom.... welll all his T's became Fs and at 4 & 5 years old he was also dropping his blends (sp, tr, ch, cl etc).... And he loved trucks.... and he would SHOUT at the other kids.... MY TRUCK.... except it never sounded like truck.... it always came out f^ck! hehehehehe

I worried horribly with both my kiddos. We have had 2 SIDS babies in our family. I had testing done on both my babies, but those are never 100%, so still worried alot.

My youngest died of sids and my FIL's sister did as well. Some of the folks here know that...it's a terrible thing. And is very scarring. Years ago, I told both my kids never to ask for us to keep their children overnight while they are infants. Not that anything would happen but it's an awful thing and unfortunately it has scarred us.

it's coming together slowly but surely. Still got a lot of bare walls. It's hard to fit stuff from one space into a new space. Doesn't quite work that well but we're getting there.

We had a little terrier mix mutt who would run to the door if someone said "Daddy's home!" Or, if we told him to "Go get daddy!" he would run all over the house until he found my dad. Five years after my dad died I had to have the dog put to sleep. The last thing I said to Muffin, as he died, was "Go get daddy!"

Yikes. There is some research starting to point to the chemicals in baby mattresses that allow them to be less flammable. Go figure.
