Good thing you didn't bring cash back -
that would have absolutely blown their minds!
I should have...it would have saved me 3/4 of an hour. gah.

I bought my 100-400 from their store in NW Portland last June. They match B&H prices plus add on B&H next day shipping costs. For most purposes I'll order online with UPS ground delivery service and save the extra money. When I bought my 5D from Amazon the shipping was free and it arrived in 2 days.
I was buying two lenses and the shipping charge was the same as the 1 day shutterbug charged me. So rather than have UPS have my lenses for a week, I just bought local. It was a serious PIA though.

Yup. This reminds me of when I was trying to sort out the purchase for our house. After selling my apartment, I wanted to transfer the money to the solicitors for buying the house. I attempted to do this over the phone only to be told that I could only do this in amounts of £10K. I had over £100K to transfer.
That kind of threw me (and made me somewhat nervous and stressed out). In the end, I had to go to a bank, handed over my bank card and told them to transfer the full amount. Thankfully, they did it qithout question.
lol, Dan mentioned a similar thing...we used a cashiers check to pay for our house originally...no questions asked. Go figure

I wish you all the happiest of new years, may you be safe, surrounded with friends and/or loved ones and not find a dead bug at the bottom of your drink

Have fun and HAPPY NEW YEAR miss!

B&H prices plus next day shipping seems pretty fair for a real store...I would do business with them if they were that close.
that's what I thought...

According to B&H they are both 3.2 lbs (without the tripod collar)
the 300 F4? Or the 70-200? In any case it SEEMS like a tiny leetle lens
