I couldn't say for sure. The M3 with the 300 2.8 was blazingly fast. Just not always accurate. I found out today that this AF can be blazingly fast and not accurate too (it's got this stupid setting called "release" that allows the camera to take shots whether it's in focus or not...it just keeps shooting...that's it's default and totally WRONG...but after I switch that to a better setting, then suddenly my shots were in focus). ..
