I switched completely away from UPS for shipping 3 years ago to US Postal Service for many reasons just like this. USPS is MUCH more reliable and takes better care of packages.

Funny ... I'll never voluntarily ship a package through the postal service again. After multiple problems with shipping including them holding packages at the busiest post office in the world w/o leaving a notice, complete lack of tracking, and ambivalent customer service with a snide smirk, I'll never again willingly ship packages through the postal service. FWIW, I think its just that our post office sucks, but it has made me very bitter toward them. What gets me is they're consistently inconsistent. One day they'll hold the package at "the busiest post office on earth," and no ... you have to wait in the line to pick up your package, that door back there, ring all you want, we won't answer so you can pick up your package and leave. Just wait in line for everyone to address and label their packages, smile for their passport photos and get your box 45 minutes later. Then the VERY NEXT day, they leave the package at the office. Then again at the P.O. Then they'll occasionally just dump it on your front door step.

UPS and fed-ex always leave packages with the apartment staff or deliver directly to our door. The post office is a gamble, and just like real gambling, you mostly lose.

So, that's why I prefer UPS or FedEX. :p

I'm with you Mike....I wouldn't trust the post office to deliver the time of day. UPS is my first choice...FedEx is ok...but way too expensive.

I feel alone and left out.

Flour tortilla, filled with vanilla ice cream and caramel. THen frozen. Then deep fried and topped with cinnamon, caramel and chocolate. and eaten while the tortilla is hot and the ice cream is cold. O M G

On the average, how many packages a day do you ship?
