thanks for the smile.
I do however think there needs to be one more on the market.

Now whether it is designed for men so that the nod, smile and say yes dear, or for women where they just don't do it is up to the developers.

Lisa - love the Kona shots, so keep them coming!

wow I've never known anyone (not on a farm) who had a pig for a pet. Is it housebroken?

When I was culling animals during the old Foot & Mouth Crisis in the UK, we had to find out every single animal around that could potentially be affected. People who didn't live in farms had all kinds of animals, from pigs, goats, llamas, sheep, rams etc. etc. you name it, they all had to be "tested", or culled at the worst....

Awww poor Amikah....but funny as heck! That first shot had me chuckling bad.

These just in.
Pigs no like snow.
Dogs however really like it.

Dang, that's a lot of snow....did you get a chance to get shots of the strip? Vegas made the news here.

cfpackerfan wrote in post #6899433 (external link)
She was incredibly patient with me and let me put them on her. Then she stood perfectly still for a few pictures and then I took them off. And she's no worse for the wear, she immediately tried to eat the puff ball on the hat as soon as I put the camera away. Then bounded away like her normal doofy self.

Now where are the shots of her with her nails painted?

thomascanty wrote in post #6899493 (external link)
I just heard another one of the neighbor's trees fall (sounds like a shotgun blast followed a couple seconds later by a loud *WHOOOMP*), so I stepped out onto the balcony to take a couple flash pictures of his trees that are now leaning against this building:
And, the one leaning against my balcony eaves:

That is a lot of snow.

eddarr wrote in post #6899509 (external link)
That's why I was knocking snow out of my trees earlier.

LOL!!! It actually looks like a flock of birds all let loose at the same time on ya.

another note: Kona isn't fond of his new bed...at least he likes to drag it around the room but not sleep on it. However, Pacha loves it...he's so cute..a little kitty in all that bed bigness.

Joshua does that with any beds we get him....before he tears them to shreds.

My freaking driveway was covered in acorns....they'd dry up and get crushed, then it would rain or get wet somehow then I'd have brown acorn stains all over the place. :|

That's because cream cheese frosting is the best in the whole world. We have a place here called Nothing Bundt Cakes and they drowned them in frosting. The entire center is full of frosting. And they are seriously expensive like $30 for a 10" bundt cake.

that sounds delicious.

cfpackerfan wrote in post #6900094 (external link)

That is the main reason I hate going to the GP. I don't think I have had a bug that requires an antibiotic in 20 years and that is about the only thing I can think of seeing one for.

Do a culture and be sure it is something an antibiotic will treat. Doctors to often prescribe antibiotics rendering them worthless.
I hope it is bacterial because the few bugs that are bacterial usually succumb to antibiotics quick if they are not resistant yet. Most stuff needs to run it's course.

Its a good thing that my doc is an internal medicine doc....she is not one to perscribe antibiotics when not needed....she does the tests first, then treats. I feel like I have an infection more so today than yesterday.

It was a long day today. He was very active today...and seemed quite stubborn to get into things he shouldn't...(i.e. I'd say no and redirect him and even tried Terri's trick...but he'd keep going again and again...I'm sure it's testing boundaries...one of the things was chewing on the carpet instead of his plethora of chew toys...obviously I can't let him do that)

And, I swear I took him out 15 times before Dan got home. He went to the bathroom each time. And I was trying to bake and turned my back for 2 minutes to use the restroom and came out to him going to the bathroom on the carpet. This happened twice. I know it's only been a week and there's things I have to learn...I just wish I could figure out when he needs to go. I take him when he wakes up, after he eats...and pretty much every hour. What am I doing wrong?

I think you're doin' fine like all the responses you already got last night, though I would add that you probably should not take him out so often. He is going to get into the habit of "oh its time to go" every hour or so and when you are in that one moment of stepping out of the room where he is at it could be that time. You're doing a great job ;)

misspix wrote in post #6900687 (external link)
I don't remember if I mentioned that Sweetie got an owie She and Adam went to the snow and she forgot about the basset half of herself when the heeler half tried to clear a very wide ditch She jammed her front leg pretty hard. Nothing broken, she is high on doggy dope and will be fine

Something similar happened to Dora...her rear leg was hurt when I put her down in the grass one day and she would not step on it for two days (on the weekend). So first thing monday morning we took her to the vet....he was quick to say that she needed surgery because her knee cap was thrown out of whach. How much is surgery? $3000!! When we started to stammer and say it was expensive, he said "well there is always meds to releive the swelling but it does not always work". We said we would try that first.....she got better in less than a week, hasn't had a problem since...that was 3 years ago. We fired that vet and went a different one and mentioned the leg thing and this vet said that surgery was the last option....meds and regular walking would be the way to go.

short5 wrote in post #6900849 (external link)
So you going to make Dan take him in for that? Somewhere I have a picture of one of our old cats after his nipping sitting on his butt, legs spread, looking at me like "what did you do to me?"

LOL! I wanna see that shot if you find it.

cfpackerfan wrote in post #6900889 (external link)

Pictures?

hey he shoots both systems too. cool.

The photographer friend we have shoots both systems also....but she is a portrait photographer. Uses a 5D, but the Nikon gear I don't remember....she has a load of lenses for the Nikon though. She tells me that she wants the 5DMkII and wants to get rid of all her Nikon stuff to pay for it. Her husband though, doesn't want her to spend the money

This mornings joke for the enjoyment of all.

With the success of Viagra, many new performance drugs for men go into development:

--PROJECTRA: Men given this experimental new drug were far more likely to actually finish a household repair project before starting a new one.

--COMPLIMENTRA: In clinical trials, 82% of middle-aged men noticed that their wives had a new hairstyle. Currently being tested to see if its effects extend to noticing new clothing.

--BUYAGRA: Married men report a sudden urge to buy their wives gifts after taking this drug for only two days. Still to be ascertained: whether the results extend to not minding when women spend money on themselves.

--ANTI-AGRA: Promises the exact opposite effect of Viagra. Currently undergoing clinical trials on U.S. Senators.

--NOSPORTAGRA: This drug makes men want to turn off televised sports and actually converse with other family members.

--FLATULAGRA: This complex drug converts men's noxious intestinal gases into air freshener.

--FLYAGRA: This drug shows great promise in treating men with O.F.D. (Open Fly Disorder).

--LIAGRA: This drug helps men lie more successfully when asked about their sexual affairs. Will be available in Regular, Grand Jury and Political Strength versions.

:lol: Have to show this to the wife....she is a drug rep.

OMG Shortage.... I nearly broke my neck taking my four year olds on a walk... we had a hill to walk down and it was COVERED like millions of ball bearings on the floor!!!! The kids thought it was the grandest thing to 'slip & fall' in the acorns... I've never seen so many prat falls in my life... they were cracking me up! Me... I was trying to stay upright.... Our squirrels aren't eating them fast enough!!!!!

Hmm, weird. I wonder if it really was our weather this spring as the "studies" are suggesting.

That was an interesting read. I like to blow things up, maybe my daughter and I'll have a play with some of it later...I'm talking the hydrogen collection. I'm thinking its soon time to teach her to make soap as well. Lye is fascinating to me. (and yes, I'm a geek, and I'm ok with it)

So is there an escape rescue plan? I always heard dying under ice sucks. At least there is no current to pull you from the hole if you go through.

The pond is like 4.5 feet at its deepest (and that might be erring on the deep side). So it would only be up to my chest if I feel in.
