I always liked science and math. I even liked computer programming. I started out in college majoring in software engineering and Spanish. Then, circuits kicked my butt so I switched to Math and Spanish. I evetually dropped the math due to an some unfortunate side effects of a verbally abusive relationship. I do still like math though. I took three semesters of Calculus in college. It's fun to help students with math although last year the math teacher got pissed at me because she thought I was helping them with math instead of teaching spanish when I was just helping in study hall.

I like Science and Maths...hence I became an engineer. But it is always good fun blowing things up. At university, we had to build a bridge out of aluminium, then destroy it - you had to design it to see how much weight it could really hold....make a gearbox and destroy it....make a tower out of balsa wood and glue and destroy it....etc. etc. Always good fun.

I do wish I was stronger in mathematics, though. Trig comes pretty easily, but I never got enough calculus for it to be useful.

I do like some good destruction :) tho I tend to be more action and less forethought

Interesting read. Your search history must be bizarre

I like to blow things up, maybe my daughter and I'll have a play with some of it later...I'm talking the hydrogen collection.

That's kind of hot, just saying. Yes please teach your daughter to blow stuff up. I wish more moms would do this.
On hydrogen and oxygen mixed, BOOM! We used to fill oxygen acetylene balloons from a welding kit and they make an earth shattering boom. Much caution to you.

The pond is like 4.5 feet at its deepest (and that might be erring on the deep side). So it would only be up to my chest if I feel in.

So you were at no risk of dying? What's the fun in that?:p I am envious of your world. It looks like a nice life out there.

Zane look ^^^^ :D

Yeah I saw that, interesting;)

Guineh wrote in post #6902462 (external link)
Speaking of Zane ...

Zane, what was your dayjob before you went all "photojournalist?" Curious, I suppose.

I owned a landscaping company for ten years. We were a design build company. I have had some health issues and it got a bit much to manage. I was truly losing my mind which affected my health. I am in a major adjustment here. I am not used to living on a budget and not sure what I can or want to do when I grow up. I will still do my snow removal stuff in the winter.

I did, played with lots of lead and mercury as a kid.

Goodmorning :)

We had a better night last night. He went right to his crate w/o fussing. I think Dan tired him out last night. This is good. I will try the "not taking him out as much"...I read some more last night and the book said at this age, two hours unless they've eaten or played hard. I'll try that and see how it works.

Oh and Kona's discovered those wool like logging socks...(we put his clock in one) ohmygosh he loves those as toys.

Jim, I love that shot of Jasper on TPBM. How old is he now? He looks almost fully grown. Actually so does Amikah. Cats don't get full grown til they are 2...obviously there's a difference with dogs...

Just a casual observation....dial-up sucks.

why are you on dialup?

Harm wrote in post #6902271 (external link)
Lisa - love the Kona shots, so keep them coming!

Thanks Harm.

The photographer friend we have shoots both systems also....but she is a portrait photographer. Uses a 5D, but the Nikon gear I don't remember....she has a load of lenses for the Nikon though. She tells me that she wants the 5DMkII and wants to get rid of all her Nikon stuff to pay for it. Her husband though, doesn't want her to spend the money
.

Bobert, hope he figures out your back problem right away.

and yeah, the husband was the biggest reason I didn't sell everything and go nikon. :) But honestly, I'm not mad. He's my "caution barometer" and I'm sure saves me tons of grief because of it..money too I'm sure. I have a tendency to make impulsive decisions that I regret later (qv selling the 5D for the M3....I LOVED the 5D...it was really unwise to get rid of it).

thanks :) Those look nice.

I forget to check her blogs or Kubotas, I have them marked as junk in my emails. I got irritated with Kubota because they send spam to their purchasers. MCP does sometimes too...(i.e. " come and vote for us here" etc. I don't want to hear from them unless I initiate it )
