I'm taking down my Christmas tree. The cats haven't climbed it but Kona's biggest temptation is the tree. I'm so tired of trying to chase him out of it or stop him from eating it etc. that I think it's best to take it down.

yeah, that's what I was thinking too. I'm not going to remove everything that he's not supposed to do because he'll never learn that way, but the tree is just one huge temptation.

Lonnie, those were great shots... I can't believe you guys got enough snow to knock trees over. (And you might just have to close your blinds from now on, eh? )

I actually never thought about snow clearing, makes sense now.

Actually the last I heard it had more to do with the fact that 75% of the places we connect to were closed. So there was no reason to let any planes take off.

I really thought that we would have more problems with Amikah and the tree... but she hasn't messed with it, OR the presents under it (which is shocking).
the only problem we've had so far, is Vader jetting under the tree to the back corner and Amikah trying to follow him. Over the presents, LOL.

it was just a dusting a few days ago, and that melted right away, but this one hit yesterday morning, and snowed well into the night. It's slushy, and already melting... the trees are dripping like it's raining.

The trees here (what's left of them) are raining, too. It's already warmed way up to 43F here now.

One has to wonder if the airport has any snow management at all. If this only rarely happens it is cheaper to just shut down. You guys have snow and ice management under control by necessity.

No worries Mike, I'm gonna pretty much stay shut in.
I have learned to let it run its course, rest a bunch and drink lots of fluids.
