Dog Portrait Shoot

I got approached by a local dog school to do dog portraits. My dog and I are students there, and we've shot an agility competition for them before, but I'm an amateur and this was the first time I've used studio strobes. I'm really pleased with the results.

In terms of exposure, I was in manual -- set the exposure at the start and didn't change all day (except when I turned the control wheel, which I caught pretty quickly, and I now know what the "on" position is for -- could never figure out why you'd want the camera on without the control wheel). I don't think I had to adjust exposure by more than 1/2 stop in Lightroom afterwards.

Shooting in manual meant that I didn't have to worry about the dark dogs throwing the exposure off.

The focal distance is pretty wide... would be good to have the background a little less sharp perhaps. Otherwise they are nice.
