hmmm i am intrigued here as well. Did you fall to your left as you took the shot? Could you not climb back up from the slope? please do explain......we may have a movie here....;)

That's about right. We got lost on the way back down and found ourselves between a few rocks we couldn't get back up, and 20 feet of sheer cliff. Lucky for the five of us up there, someone got some cell phone reception and called for help. S&R came and got us just before it got dark. There was also no charge, and the normal "hiking beyond your ability" fine was waved. They understood we just got lost and found ourselves in a crappy situation. They were really nice guys, and will be receiving thank you cards for a while. The worst part of the whole thing was when I was taken down I could see how far we really were from the bottom, and it was maybe another 30 feet of easy walking beyond that 20 foot cliff to bottom and the trail. :o

Red Rock Canyon. I was lucky we got such a nice day. Yesterday we had a storm front move in and it was cloudy and snowing all day.
