I'm getting into photography more than I had thought I would and so now that Christmas is coming my kids are asking me what I want for Christmas. I tell them that I don't need anything but they would like to get me something that I will actually use. My kids are a poor college student and a recently married looking for a job so they want to do something but don't have much in the way of funds.

So what do you have in your kits that you actually use that would be under $35?

(Yes I tell them to donate to a worthy cause and that would be fine and they are already generous in those areas. However they want to do something tangible that they can see me use and enjoy.)

Any suggestions?

The book Understanding Exposure is awesome @ $25 if you're looking for a good (maybe elementary to some people) read.

Rocket Blowers
Printer Paper
Lens Pen
Camera Strap
Eneloop Batteries if you have a flash
Couple of Sensor Swabs
Hand Strap
Memory Cards
Sillica Gel for your camera bag

Just a few ideas.

Some cameras, some lenses, plenty of gaffer's tape and beer.

Personally I asked for amazon.com gift cards so I could combine them and purchase either a Nifty Fifty or a smaller camera bag. However anything from the list from MSIGuy works also if you don't already have them.

Merry Christmas

I have nice CF cards that are getting cheaper every day. I also keep lens cloths, and magic cloths handy and they are not too expensive.
