Well here's my first test clip with the new Canon 5D Mark II. I gotta tell you videographers out there, that learning curve is pretty steep. I've got a lot of respect for you guys.

This quick little 30sec vid took me forever to do. I've gotta go get some books or something. But I must say, I'm lovin this camera.

3speeds rock. and so does the 5d mkii. I like the 6speed wheels. Good luck with the video stuff It looks good so far. Any action shots yet? Maybe peelin tire?

I recently purchased an hf100 and I am stumbling through my own batch of issues.
The 5d mkii was what got me interested in hd video. I figured I would try the cheaper route first.

Unfortunately I didn't have anyone to drive my car so they had to be static shots. But like I said, I'll definitely be adding more to that clip as I learn more about editing video.

Looks good. Nice effort.

Sort of "moving photos" style (as I call it) or a montage.

I think a lot of videos from the 5Dmkii will be "moving photo" shots for a while (nothing wrong with that BTW). Being a primarily still camera, that's to be expected (because it's how still photographers think).

When some people start using it for actual dramas etc. that will be interesting, though, people doing drama's won't be buying a 5Dmkii I suspect.
