also, learn to use the search function on the forum or you will learn to hate it due to all of the jerks that will ruin your thread by telling you to search.

Thankfully i knew that coming into this forum, so i try not to post repetitive questions. lol.

It dives into the 'why / when / how'.

-if i am shooting a lake/shore shot w/ some clouds at sun set - how do i meter correctly?

It is a big softcover book. I actually read it last year and keep it for reference.
I have been shooting pictures since the film days and picked up digital in the last 3 years.
I learned a couple of new techniques and reinforced others. good stuff.....

Thanks for the advice. I have been doing a lot of reading in the various forums and found lots of tutorials to keep me busy for a while.

by the way, you might wanna check out the Texas Photo Forum as well if you havent already. Very similar to POTN, just an all texas crowd (with a few exceptions)

nice shot.... interesting perspective/compositio​n.
This could be a jpeg conversion thing...
I notice a little noise in the image. I downloaded and processed thru Noiseware.
It cleaned up nicely, mainly the sky.
