A couple of parrots landed in my backyard for a feast. C&C always welcome.

grass parrots? :-D noice
#1 - crimson rosella
#2 - eastern rosella

the crimson's have got the coolest calls

#1 is a great pose, I'm guessing #2 is doing the same thing but the shrubbery is getting in the way

have you cropped these much or is that all 400L baby?

i was asking about the cropping because the DOF seems to be different in both shots - shallower in #1??

Well, they're parrots...and in my grass...and I live in Australia; therefore, grass parrots! :) Thanks for the proper ID. Birds aren't as much my thing as they are yours. The first one is shot through a window since I couldn't open the door. They're a bit flighty. The second I managed to get a window open a little and got down lower although it was further away. That should explain the DOF difference I hope.
