Some discussion was created in another thread about one of the photos I posted. I didn't want to threadjack so I'm starting my own thread here.

I recently got a box of old photos from an Aunt who passed away recently. I wasn't sure what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised as to the photos. a lot of the photos are in poor condition and the albums used were the kind that have adhesive so many of the photos can't be removed without being damaged unfortunately.

I'm not really sure of the age of most of these photos so if you have any ideas please chime in.

I really like these a lot, #3 and #4 especially. No idea about the age of any of these.

Gives me an idea - I know my family has boxes of photos that date back quite a while - so I'll have to take a look at them when I fly home next summer.

Really like the ironworker.

Age? Well, the first is from the '40s judging by the car. And, on the same basis, the sixth is from the '60s...

I love old photos like this. The first one looks like the car on the right is from the late 40's. #3 is obviously a studio shot and the man is wearing high button shoes, so doing some research in that area might give you a clue. #6 the car on the wall looks like a late 60's Pontiac.

#3 is without a doubt that is ca 1920s/prohibition era

Just look at the flapper style dress she has on. His button up shoes and the suit all scream 20s at the latest but her dress is a dead giveaway for the era...

Those are all some excellent photo though. My favs are #3 because it looks sort of happy & playful which is sort of unusual for studio shots from that era. I also LOVE the iron worker shot in #4.

Real men shoot Pentax because we're born with our own Canon's!!
