After updating ACR to v5.2 my RAW Preferences isn't available in Bridge any longer. If if revert back to the original version of ACR its shows up just fine. Only problem is that doesn't support the 50D.

I've cleared the Cache but still same issue. The CR2 files open fine if double clicking on them just can't see the Preferences and no Preview is available.

This is CS4 X64, any ideas?

Well I solved it by Reading the diections more throughly from the Adobe web site that are different from the ReadMe file instructions, go figure that.

Manual 64-bit installation on Windows:

If you are using Photoshop CS4 as a 64-bit application, you can use the Adobe Update Manager to install Camera Raw 5.2. If a manual update of the plug-in is required, please install the Camera Raw plug-in in two locations:

a. The CameraRaw.8bi found at the top level of the zip folder should be placed in the following directory:

Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Plug-Ins\CS4\File Formats

b. The CameraRaw.8bi found in the folder labeled 64-bit should be placed in the following directory:

Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Plug-Ins\CS4\File Formats

It seems you have installed both CS4 x86 and x64 in your computer. That explains why the .8bi needs to be placed in both directories.
I only installed the x64 version since I don't have any other 3rd party plug-ins that is only compatible with x86.

There wasn't an option for installing one or the other that I saw with the installer. Odd thing is the .8bi file labeled x64 goes in the x32 folder ...

None of my Nik software is 64 bit compatible yet.

You have to do Custom Install in order to see the options. IIRC, one says "Install Photoshop CS4" and the other says "Install Photoshop CS4 (64bit)". Each has a checkbox. I unchecked the one without (64bit) since i have no plug-in that needs the x86 version.

I usually check to do a Custom Install with all my software but the Installer I downloaded from Adobe only offered to remove all the add-on stuff. I chose Bridge and Photoshop CS4 without all the extra stuff.
