The last image I pulled from the camera till it just stopped working. I was right in the middle of shooting 2nd period at the Canes game yesterday and my 1D decided to take a crap on me. Most of the other photog's believes it's the CMOS sensor dying and I think I remember seeing images like this on here.

It just sucks because it's my main body, I have no money and the holidays about to come up. I guess I know what I want for Christmas, someone to pay my CPS bill.

I guess I should be happy since one of the other photog's had two blown shutters in one week last month. Now I'm scared to shoot any jobs with being down to my 30D and I think it's on it's last leg too... :(

I got a great series of this fight, too bad all of the images from there on went bad. :(

That is really unfortunate. I hope things get better.

Luckily for you, you have a spare body. What was the image count on the 1D?

It is possible that Canon will repair FOC if your camera has a low shutter count. Ive heard of one member here that got his shutter replaced with 30,000 clicks on it despite the camera being out of production.

Worth a try!

Not sure what the count is, but it's well above 100k clicks, probably 120k. I shoot a lot of sports, but the bill came in, only $203 to replace the sensor and board. Hopefully it'll be back on Friday or Monday. Not to shabby.

^that would be nice, if my shutter was the problem. Although most of the guys that have mkII's have their shutters last around 400-500k mark so I think I'm good on that range.
