I recently upgraded from CS3 to CS4 and have been struggling to find a fix to the following problem:

1. Open images in CS4 ACR - color is acceptable.
2. Open this same file in CS4 PS and the color takes on a slight dark red tint.

If the image is saved in CS4 and opened in CS3 it returns to the original acceptable CS4 ACR color scheme.

All CS4 settings are default.

Is there a setting that can be changed to maintain the ACR image when opening in PS CS4?

Hi schr0563, welcome to the forum.

May we have a little more information? In what colour space are you exporting your images from ACR? What are your Color Settings in Photoshop? What kind of monitor do you have, and how is it calibrated?

(In truth, I'm struggling - I can't think of a reason why this would be happening...)

What are your color settings?

One reason I can think of is that you've set Color Management Policies to "off"

Should be like this:

IMAGE NOT FOUND
HTTP response: 403 | MIME changed to 'application/xml'

Otherwise a screenshot of the problem might help.
