I'm doing my first wedding tomorrow :) My brother who's been shooting weddings for few years now is going with me for few hours.

Anything I should be looking for at LDS weddings?? Never done one before, just wondering if I should be looking out for anything?

Thanks!

Is the wedding a temple wedding or one just being done at a local meeting house? Those are two very different situations to me...

I shoot LDS weddings here in DC. It's not bad.

1. Find out what the B&G expect for pictures: group, B&G only, family, etc.? How many people are in the party.
2. Bring all your gear including flashes. Make sure you have extra batteries because it's cold.
3. Scout out spots on the grounds that are prime for shots. I know in DC there are several places around the temple for nice work.
4. You will probably need your 17-55 and make sure shadows are not everywhere.

Still need to know if it is even at the temple though......

You cannot shoot inside an LDS chapel at a meeting house or anywhere within the temple itself. If the ceremony is just in a meeting house in a side room - then photos will be appropriate.

Just got back from the wedding! It was a temple wedding. No cameras alowed inside temple. I'll post some pictures tomorrow. It was pretty cool and simple.

Excuse me but what's an LDS wedding? I just hope it doesn't have to do anything with LSD. :D
