Hi,
Can anyone tell me if their CP-E3 or CP-E4 buzzes when it's connected to their flashgun, I have mine connected to a 580EX Mk1 and I'm woindering if it's faulty. It works fine other than the buzz.
Thanks.

If that's the "buzzing" you're talking about, then that's normal. It's a definate buzz from the charging pack - not the high pitched whine you associate with the flash charging up. It makes the constant noise when as it's plugged into the flashgun and I switch it on, only stops when the flash is turned off. Have taken multiple shots and flash recharge is quick. My Gear

If so, my CP-E3 buzzes when plugged into a 580EX or 580EX II. It's so faint, you have to press your ear against it to make it out when it's in the nylon case. It has to be within 30cm of my ear for my to ear it. The "recharge" whine is much louder, and they both seem to work and have for a couple of years and a few months respectively.
