The Tri Series are, as the name suggests, a series of 3 meeting held over the Christmas period. Round 2 is perhaps the most famous being the Cemetry Circuit races that are held on Boxing Day in Wanganui NZ.

The atmosphere at these events is fantastic. Not just from the hard racing that goes on but from the camaraderie that is often missing from other major motorsport events.

As normal there are more than a few international visitors entered and an array of machinery from 1950s onwards.

Having run these through CS2 the interesting exif has been ripped off - all shot with a Mk3 and either 300mm prime or a 70-200. I'm waffling so I'll be quiet ... Here are the images. CC always welcomed.

1. Luke Jameson followed by his team mate Kyle Hammond (#13) - Amazing how fast a 125cc motor can make a bike go.

2. Bruce Telford - Motard racing is certainly different - No off road section at Manfeild so everyone was on slicks

3. Dillon Telford - Before I get moaned at for tilting the camera the exit from the hairpin is banked ... okay perhaps not that banked

4. Hayden Fitzgerald - The Castrol coloured Honda has to be one of the photogenic bikes out there. The reds and greens match the colours around the track - now if we can just get him to change the helmet ...

5. Mid afternoon the rain hammered down for 20 minures so it was time to visit the pits. Australian Gareth Jones' fine collection of bikes

7. Andy Scrivener & Steve Bryan and a 900cc BMW - As well as balancing the sidecar the swinger (Kiwi speak for a passenger) has to make sure they don't block the air in take on the flat twin engine!
