Took some photos of the crater while visiting Maui....let me know what you think. We hiked down the Sliding Sand Trail to the bottom of the crater.

Great colors and depth!

We were here a few years ago for the sunrise and I showed the pictures to my 7 & 10 year old niece and nephew telling them I had gone to the moon.

I got a call from my sister yelling at me because the kids had told everyone in School that their aunt and uncle had gone to the moon and the teacher wanted to know if we could come in and talk to the class:lol::lol:

The place does look out of this world!!

Thank you all for the comments. The crater really is something to see. Its worth making the trip up from the beach. Just bring some warm clothes. Going from 85 degrees to 32 degrees can be a shock :eek:
