EF-S 10-22, EF-S 18-55 IS, EF-S 55-250 IS, and if there is any money left, 50 F/1.8. EOS R & EOS 5 (analog) with a gaggle of primes & 3 zooms, OM-D E-M1 Mk II & Pen-F with 10 primes, 6 zooms, 3 Metabones adapters/speedboosters, and an accessory plague

rupek Member 126 posts Joined Jul 2008 Location: Bexhill, UK More info | The tamron has proven to be an awesome lens for the price, that and the canon i would definately buy again, however the 50 1.8 just doesnt cut it anymore, to be honest i got the 50 1.8 as an upgrade from the 18-55 kit, so it was a HUGE improvement over that, but now i have the 70-200 and an 85 1.8 and it shows how poor the focus is, up until then i was managing ok with it. The 50 1.8 is sharp, but focus really is poor in lower light. Below is a image with the crop next to it, razor sharp. Not bad for an £75 lens Scott

If I went the prime route that's how I'd spend the money. If I went the zoom route I'd have to do something like the Tamron 17-50 F/2.8 + 70-200 F/4 (non-IS)

I think this is the correct answer. Besides, if you buy used these lenses are going to retain their value pretty well so when you want to upgrade you can without losing much.
