Man, I love this camera! It's nice to have a XXD camera again. I sold my 1Dinosaur and G9 to fund this and I have no regrets.

I used it today to shoot my son's third birthday party and I'm pleased with the results. I used the kit lens some and my 85 1/8 & Sigma 24-60 f/2.8. All the lenses performed like I expected them to.

Part of me wishes I never sold my 30D but now I'm glad I bought this one instead of keeping the 1D classic.

Don't get me wrong, the 1D is a great camera. I just didn't use it to its full capabilities and I hated the poor battery life and weight. I would probably have never bought one had I not gotten the great deal on the one I bought.

Ok, enough rambling. I love this damn camera;)

Just holding my 40D puts a smile on face.

It's a lens not a lense!

I am so happy with my 40D. I got mine last May. My husband and I celebrated 40 years of marriage and this was my gift. It replaced my still working 10D. We went on a trip to Utah and Colorado last summer to break in the camera and celebrate our anniversary. It is such a responsive camera. And so much faster than the 10D. I wish these camera's existed when my children were young. I would have used it every day with them. The kids are grown now and I don't have grandchildren yet to take photos of. (Well, I have 2 grandhorses, 6 grandcats, 2 granddogs.) zip

Do you wake up at night....open it carefully...play with it for a few hours before carefully wrapping it back up and getting back in bed before anybody finds out?

Wow..what a nice run on sentence..but u get the point
