Hello
First time posting in this section and a first shooting cricket.
I went along to the 3rd day of the 2nd test at McLean Park in Nelson.
Normally a beautiful sunny location in the summer but day 2 & 3 were dark, overcast & drizzly
Did not attend the full day, left before the start of the last session. My young daughter was starting to get a bit cold and we had a 5 hour drive ahead of ourselves to get home.
This test started latter than usual, first ball at 12.00 noon as against the normal 10:30am, probably due to TV coverage. Bit of a shame, day 2 finished early due to light and I also believe that day 3 did as well.
The Black Caps (New Zealand) were looking good mid-way through the day, equalling the West Indies first innings score for the loss of 4 wickets but then, true to form, suffered a collapse, finishing the day with a first innings lead of only 62 runs.
Back at work today, and the weather down there was stunning (go figure) and the West Indies captain making a well struck 130 last I heard.
Anyway, for the pictures. As I say, first time at cricket and first time with a monopod.
All shots with a 30D, ISO between 500 & 1000, F5.6-6.3. All are slight crops at 600mm (300 2.8 with 2xTC)
Thanks for taking the time to look. My timing needs some work

A bit of chat back & forth between him & Jesse Ryder and I think the umpire had a quiet chat at the end of the over. All good fun, just a shame that it wasn't a beautiful day like today.
