I initially had my mind set on the 11-16 2.8....
But I hear that it works from 13mm on a 1D..
The sigma 12-24 seems like a good option, as it goes all the way to 12, and on FF will be ultra ultra wide....
I don't know about the sigma 10-20
And I do not really want the 10-22 due to it's rear element hitting the mirror thing....

What would you recommend?

ultra wide on a 1.6x crop is 10mm
ultra wide on a 1.3x crop is 13mm
ultra wide on a full frame is 16mm

So on your 1.3x crop 12mm should be as wide as you can go. The range is ultra wide(12mm) up to wide (24mm).

I think the only other option you would have is the 14L.

I use the Tokina 11-16 on my Mark III with no problems. I don't hesitate to use the whole range. Vignetting is apparent from 11-13 but I don't give it any thought because I can just take it out with post.

Oh, so it's not like black barrel sort of vignetting, it's just darkening?

What does it look like at 12mm?

How does it work with the hood/filter?

Screenshot of an image taken with a Sigma (IIRC) 10-20mm on my 1D Mk2, at 10mm f/7.1.

I think (but am not sure) that this was without hood or filter.
