First Shots with my MP-E 65mm

I just got myself a MP-E 65mm Canon Macro lens for christmas and was experimenting with it and my MT-24EX flash yesterday afternoon in the house.

The pictures are of a ribbon my unit recieved recently and that I haven't put on my uniform yet... and some carnations (I try to get carnations for my fiancee periodically) that I have in the house.

They were taken hand held (which is a challenge) because I haven't recieved the lens mount bracket I ordered for my RRS Macro Rail.

Post processing was done in Lightroom 2.2

Congrats on the new lens! I plan on getting one of these in a few months.

I finally found my first bug... (ok, technically it was a spider...) it is/was really challenging to capture... because he's about 2/3rds the way up my parents Christmas Tree... (and it is very small...)

I'll post pictures of him sometime later tonight..
