Hi everyone, this is my first time posting a "real" picture here at POTN. I did my mandatory duck shot when I first got my camera but have just been taking pictures and experimenting ever since. Anyways, this isn't really a macro shot because it was done with a 24-105L, however I wanted some C&C and figured this was the best of the forums to go to for this particular subject matter. I really appreciate any help you guys can give me. The pic was taken at the Henry Doorly Zoo butterfly/insect pavillion here in Omaha, NE. I used my 40D, 24-105L at 105mm (168mm equiv.), ISO 400, 1/250, center-weighted average, and I had my 430EX on set at -2/3 FEC. I should have pulled back a lot on the flash because I blew it out pretty bad but I thought the image looked pretty cool after I got done with PP. Thanks in advance!

Nice light and colour but find the background a bit too distracting

Thank you for your comments LordV. I can see where the background is a distraction. I took a bunch of pics that day so I'll try and find more that have less going on behind the main subject. Thanks again!
