what do you guys usually resize your photos to? and do you do it by pixels also?

I never EVER crop or resize my master file. Those pixels stay intact.

At time of output, I crop and resize as required for printing, and ensure I do a Save As, so my master file remains whole.

In truth, I don't really understand your question. I suspect you're asking about web sizes, rather than print sizes, but you haven't been particularly specific. Can you elaborate a little? Are you having a specific problem?

As Damo said, master files stay at 'as shot' size. Copies will be resized as required. A lot of my resized images are for the web, where maximum long side is often set at 750 or 800 pixels, depending on which forum they are being posted in.

The original is NEVER altered.
And you can crop any-which way you want.
Are you printing, or are we talking web images only?

was talking about web sizes. i never re size my original image.
