hello. i'm going to be the main photog at this years family party. albeit a casual setting with family, i want to take the best shots i can get with what i've got. just started this "sickening" hobby a few months ago.
this will be held in a ballroom with high ceilings, where a wedding reception would be held. all the lights will be on.
with all that said and with the equipment i have, what would be my best choice to shoot family pix in front of the tree? i recently got my 580ex ii and have not had much experience with it.
i will make plenty of use of the nifty fifty for candid portraits, that i know!
