The Official Christmas Thread!

Hey guys,

Just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas!

I hope Santa was good to yall..... He sure was to me. :D

Besides my usual NC State stuff and music, I got me some nice, new photography gear!

For the pics of the gear, I used a 40D + 20 f/2.8 at 3200 ISO (these are straight from the camera, so they are kind of noisy)

(left to right) 4GB Sandisk Memory Card, 82mm UV Filter, 16-35 f/2.8 L mII, 12mm/20mm/36mm Kenko Extension Tube Set.

My new baby, the 16-35 f/2.8 L mII

The story on the lens was funny:

My dad put the filter in the bottom of my stocking, and when I pulled it out, I thought to myself
," A 82mm filter? The only lens I can think of that uses a filter this size is the".... my dad interrupts and says... "Yeah, your gonna need this for that filter," as he hands me the lens... I was .

Thank you mom and dad for the best Christmas ever!

No material things - I got the love of my daughter, mom and nieces -- so quite a bit more than coal. (I sure had to do a lot of giving though!!)
