Does anybody know the best way to clean the AF screen. I don't mean the piece of removable plastic but the screen where the AF points are situated.
Ive tried blowing air but that hasn't helped. I think I need to go at it with senser cleaning products or send it somewhere for Professional cleaning.

The autofocus sensor is located at the bottom of the camera and completely separate from the visible focus screen. You can see the sensor if you put the camera into manual sensor cleaning mode. There is nothing cleanable on it. The most that should be done is to give it a blast or two from a bulb blower.

When you pop open the Focusing screen compartment and look inside the compartment you can see a "sensor" with af points. On that sensor there is a lot of dust on it. Can I clean it with cmos sensor solution like visible dust or green clean.

I believe your seeing the bottom of the penta prism. if air is not enough to dislodge the dust you might try one of the sensor brushes, but I would be hesitant to use a wet cleaning system on it. If you want a bit more detail on whats up there, take a look at page 21 of the 40D white paper. It gives a pretty decent cross section of all the stuff up there.
