Okay, we live in southeastern Arizona, about 45 miles from Tucson. This is the middle of the desert.
We do get snow most years, usually once, occasionally twice. After all, this is the high desert (our house is at 4638 feet / 1413.7 meters), but always at night, and it's always gone by mid-morning.
However, today it started snowing at about noon. It is now coming up on 4:30, and it's still snowing, starting to accumulate! This is unheard of! It hasn't snowed here any significant amount during the day in over 20 years, much less enough to cover the ground!
Of course, we all know that the crazy climate changes are a myth! (Our leaders say so!)
My wife is outside right now, taking pictures of sparrows, quail, and hummingbirds in the snow. Plus a lone male pyrrhuloxia. She's also shooting macros of snowflakes.
