I recieved this canon lens as a gift for Christmas and while it is a nice lens I was wondering if i should just spend the extra 300 to get the same lens but with IS. It is not one that I would need anytime soon but it would be nice to have by around March.

What would you do?

This site has good reviews of Canon equipment: http://www.the-digital-picture.com …on-Zoom-Lens-Reviews.aspx (external link)

Personally I'd move up to the 70-300 IS
