A little Boxing Day action

Well some of us still have to work over the holidays so heres a few from my latest job, Local derby and traditional pre season friendly between Batley Bulldogs in white and Dewsbury Rams in red/black.

All shot with a 1D MK III and EF 400mm L IS F/2.8, Kept the ISO a little high at 250 just to cover myself when the players ran into the shadow of the main stand which can be seen in No 4, 5 and 6. (the shadow i mean)

All shot at f/3.5 - f/4 with a shutter between 1/2000th - 1/4000th and i opened right up to f/2.8 on the fly when running into afore mentioned shadow just to retain a good shutter speed.

One day off now then back to it covering the BARLA Yorkshire Cup Final

These are incredible! I wish I could shoot sports.. just not my "thing"! But I do try at my daughters soccer games!
