Reading a lot lately decided to make the leap and purchased an i1Display2 should be here by week's end.

Quick question is this: Nvidia 6600GT running dual monitors. I have read that the best way to calibrate is to turn the Nvidia control panel to standard and then do the calibration through the monitors hard keys?
Is this correct? If so, where do I find that setting. I have scoured all the settings. I did find a restore to factory defaults. I'm assuming that would do it.

I'm sure all of this will be more apparent after I get the device in my hand but that seems to be the sticking point where several people had trouble was nto turning the cards color mgmt off.

I recently added a 22" Acer to my setup and the backlighting is much different than my 15" MAG and it is accentuating my need to calibrate the two monitors.

otherwise it is hard to tell what monitor to adjust my photos.

thanks.

Shawn

If you've never altered the colour setting in the Nvidia control panel then they should already be at the default (i.e. off) but if you open the Nvidia Control Panel then on the left you should have an "Adjust desktop colour settings" option, click that and then at the top right you get a "restore defaults" option. That's all you need to do, there's no "off" button as such.
