Awesome place, awesome prices (no where else is usually worth buying filters from), and great customer service.

Only downside is a longish shipping time of 1-1.5wks usually since they are across the big pond ;)

I haven't found anywhere else come close to their prices... even used is usually more!

I got my 77mm CPL fairly quickly.. highly recommend!

Here's a big thread about CP and hvstar

https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=614058

It takes about 2 weeks from order date for the item to get to the states.

Almost sounds too good to be true. So are B+W filters that HVStar sells made in China? What about the ones sold by B&H? Germany? The price difference percentage wise is huge.

Another satisfied customer here...the wait is a lot longer than buying in CONUS, but the money you save is a trade off.

Have ordered B&W filters from hvstar and they have been quickly delivered at highly competitive prices and the goods have been excellent. Highly recommended! :)

Guess i am in the minority, I ordered 3 filters from them and only received 1 of them. it was very poorly packaged, the envelope the filters were in was already open when I received it. Either the 2 filters fell out or were stolen in transit. I received my order in 12 days, even with the holiday here in the US. I emailed them about this problem, I am just waiting to see what they are going to do, hopefully resend the 2 filters that did not make it here. The 2 filters that are missing cost half as much as the 1 filter I received.

Wow sorry to hear. Since I started this thread I ordered one CPL from Hv star and one from B&H or Adorama ( I can not remember) just to compare. They were identical. I have ordered all my filters from HV star ever since and I have been surprised at the delivery time given the amount it has to travel. They have saved me a ton and I have only gotten brand new upopened items from the. I hope it all works out for you.

I never, Not once claimed to read your post...

I wanted to order a B+W CPL from them, but they are recommending that I take the 30USD shipping option to India, instead of the usual 6USD route.

30USD shipping for a single filter worth 115USD hurts :(

I have another thread - maxsaver.net - running about the fact that I have not received my filters and they have not responded to repeated emails. I have now sent a lengthy email to the Hong Kong Postal Authorities ask for assistance.

Thanks, found them - sent them a message to try to resolve issue. :)
