I recently attended an eagle scout ceremony and they had an eagle there. I have never been so close to such a magnificent creature.

Great experience. Did the handler let you get close?

I was able to get within about 12 feet and when that bird stared me down, I did not wish to get any closer.

They are well equipped for hunting with that sharp beak, excellent eyesight, and powerful talons that can exert 900 pounds of crushing strength.

This particular eagle was orphaned during the time it was supposed to learn to hunt and since it missed Dad's lessons, it is unable to survive in the wild.

I know about the power in the feet. They are able to crush human arm bones and puncture arteries with little effort. I also know about that stare. It will send a cold chill down your spine cause you know in any fight with an eagle, your going to lose. :)
