I have just spent the last 30 minutes reconfiguring the contents of my 7MDH, and I managed to squeeze all my stuff in there. I started having my gear in 2-3 different places, and would prefer one centralized location. I would love to keep my 5MDH set for when I just want to grab-n-go, but some days I take the 40D/17-55, and some days I take the XT/Tamron combo, and some days we take both if DH is coming with me.

With the dual set up we have, the 7MDH will not be large enough for storage purposes.

Storing most of your gear in a working bag is a pain if you have to take out most of it each time you want to go somewhere. I have a lot of bags and like to have my gear in some sort of central location.

For many years I used Tupperware-type storage boxes. They are see-through, making it easy to quickly locate items. They are stackable, air tight and relatively inexpensive.

While I still use them for many extras, I now use the "garage" concept with large Pelican case for the majority of my camera gear.

I use a wooden storage bench I bought at Target. It has 2 drawers. I paid around $100 for it. I also have several bags stacked on top of it and around it. It's all kept in the bedroom. Not as organized as it should/could be.
