RIght Click on the preset(s) and select the "Delete"option; or

If the preset is already selected, simply click on the - (minus) sign on the top right of the Presets panel. The disadvantage of this method is that if the preset isn't pre-selected; clicking on it will apply it to your image so you have to remember to step back in History after deleting the preset.

He is looking to delete, his Metadata presets. I don't think you can do it the way you suggest. (only for develop presets)

Why not edit them?

Tried the edit and it tried to make me name it something else. Think I figured it out. Go to edit select the preset you want to change or delete, redo it and you get an option. It is not very easy. You should be able to right click and delete. If you mess it up it is a pain to redo in my opinion. Have a new book on order as of yesterday.
