So i've been taking pictures of my dog with my new camera. It's a bit hard to do with dark lighting and a black dog

I got to play with my friend's 50mm f/1.2.. what an amazing lense!! I also took some pics with my 50mm f/1.4 that I've been having trouble with..

Here are the pics, C+C welcomed!! I need to get better at this thing!

Nice doxie.
Im going to **attempt** to take some photos of my girls daschund puppy that I got her for Christmas...shes albino :)
the only issue is, shes partially handicapped...almost fully deaf, and partly blind (she can only see shadows and shapes within about 15 feet...)

so its an issue to get her to sit still, haha.
plus her eyes are FREAKY when I use flash because of the blindness...

but I do like #2

Down-shift, the shots look underexposed, I presume you didn't use flash? She's a nice looking girl, although I've always preferred the long haired variants. We have a Dachshund here, her name is Heidi.

Daniel - was she deliberately breed to be an Albino? If so, that's probably why she's blind and partially handicapped. It's a problem we see with pet rats and mice (incorrect breeding, where colours/types are more importantly than breeding a healthy animal). It's not in the animals best health interests, and personally, I think it should be banned (and in some countries, they are banning this sort of breeding behaviour I believe).

If she just happened to be born like that, ignore the above paragraph.

She wasnt bred to be albino, just a fluke, but the handicaps are thought to be caused by the fact that she is Albino.
I'll post up some pictures of her tonight/tomorrow...

Being deaf and partially blind shouldn't really impact on her too much, daschund's have very good sense of smell (2nd only to Beagles from memory). She'll smell food from a mile away, and they love food. Our "hound" is spoilt rotten.
