So i was in a situation today where i wanted to use liveview to compose a shot that i couldnt do looking through the viewfinder. I had a pocketwizard in the hotshot firing a bunch of strobes but in liveview mode the camera wouldnt fire the strobes! What gives? Thats rediculous! Does anyone know if there is a custom function that would help?

Same thing on 40D... Tried it today. Pretty stupid "feature". Is this normal behavior or some custom function selection?

Turn off the silent shooting mode, and you are good to go. It's in the manual.
