I still have my 40D since 2008. No reason to upgrade whatsoever. It shoots at a fast 7 fps and shoots very well at ISO 1600. It does not fall short in any area of photography for me. I have never had a mechanical problem with it. I will only replace it if it breaks, gets stolen, or malfunctions.

Love my 40D and don't plan on ever getting rid of it, although I might upgrade one day (but will still keep my 40D). At ISO 1250 here.
