Thanks; I am trying to read the PDF, but I have a steep learning curve ahead, having never shot Canon DSLR before. I'm still a little lost but trying out shots anyway. I think its Flash Exposure Compensation Sometimes I take good photos other times !!!!

Look up Flash Exposure Compensation in the manual. It will explain it very clearly. Basically, push the "flash" button near the top LCD and turn the dial on the back of the camera. You will see the flash power raising or lowering on the scale that is displayed on the top LCD. ~Rock
