spent my day at Staples Center covering the Lakers vs. Clipper game.

First time in 43 years the clippers swept the lakers :D

i'm a die hard laker fan, but i gotta hand it to the clips; they handled business!

Agreed. And on the other hand, the Lakers have just been incapable of taking care of business consistently.

Thanks, the conditions were typical air show weather (marine layer), so kind of dull shots without some generous PP.

Last year I attended the March Air Reserve air show in Riverside. The haze was so thick you could cut it with a knife. A couple of people I talked to said it was typical weather for that time of year.

I think I will go to the Friday afternoon photo session - went last year - its was fun. $10 and no one was there but some other photogs... better color in the sky later in the afternoon than during the regular weekend mid-day show hours allow. We should all meet up!!!!!

Hehe, it would be nice to go for the afternoon on Friday. Unfortunately I can't get out of work. (work Saturdays too) That's why I'm going on Sunday.

Nice. I hope you get some more recognition from them. That would be a nice way to get your foot in the surf photog world!

I live near by and have never been. I heard going Friday for 'preview day' is a lot less hassle with less crowds.

Wish I could meet up with you fellows at Signal Hill Wednesday. I recall when I was a teenager back in '62 and '63, we used to go to Signal Hill to drive what we called "airplane hill". It was a road with a series of dips and humps that when you got the accelleration right, made you feel like you could experience 0 g's. :D Anyone else remember that and do you remember what road that was?

I sure wish I knew peeaanuut. I remember back then it was just a two lane road on a hill and we would go there at night so there wouldn't be any traffic...and hopefully, no cops either. :D I thought the road was near the oil wells but it may have been further south.
