Thanks guys. First one was a diff exposure setting, and added a bit more contrast in post.

Strad.ks, it's real easy once you have a telephoto. This is just the 70-200, pointed at the moon. Exposure was trial and error (don't try to go with the camera's meter). I set at f/11 and tried different shutter speeds. Too much light and the craters and details look washed out or totally white. Eventually I found the sweet spot. Focus either manual (although hard to do in a dark viewfinder) or using the old zoom in the LCD at 10x.
Post was minimal. I added some contrast to give it more definition, basically.
And crop of course (this is probably close to 2:1).

When looking at the 10x on the LCD, I was actually amazed that I could see the moon moving in the sky. Very very impercetible, but you really can see it moving.

Yeah. Quit...You already own all the good gear, right? No need to pay for any more.

Nothing wrong with that one, CJ!

If you're willing to crop it a bit more, you can get in "closer".

Great shots lovemyram4x4. Is that John Forces funny car? I've already mentioned it to you but for the others, John was born and raised in the town I grew up in right here in Southern California, Bell Gardens. I didn't know him though as he was four years my junior.

No catastrophic engine failures at dusk this year I take it? :D

Thanks Guys.

Yeah that him, I got a picture of him and Langdon signing my photos of them from the Winter Nationals. I also got all the prints autographed as well(Courtney seemed to be quite impressed of the shot I got of her) but ended not being able to shoot any of the sportsman classes so no wheel stand shots from today.

Really wishing I would have gone for more than just the 1 day this time.

Glad you got the autographs you wanted. I hope you told John that a fellow former citizen of Billy Goat Acres said hello. :D
